12U and Girls Team Coach

The Surrey Orcas Water Polo Club Coaching Team is currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic, team player to join their coaching team. We are a growing club that focuses on a community feel for our members and a positive training environment for all swimmers who wish to learn the sport of water polo or develop their skills further.

We offer programs for new swimmers (Splashball), recreational and provincially/nationally competitive players.

The interested Candidate will lead our 12U age group and girls’ teams as well as assist as required with our other ages. The candidate will be required to mentor junior coaches to assist and take over when competitive play entails travel with the girls’ teams. They must hold a valid coaching certificate and be able to teach strong fundamentals to beginning, developing and competitive players. An ability to teach and lead groups both in and out of the water is required. Preference will be given to a coach with a competitive background or a coach with a minimum of two years successful coaching experience.

We offer water polo Monday through Sunday and are willing to work out a coaching schedule that works for both the Candidate and our programs.
