Where can I buy a water polo suit?

 

 

What supplies do I need to play water polo?

 

  • Girls: one piece bathing suit, goggles, swim caps, water bottle and towel
  • Boys: speedo or jammer style bathing suit, goggles, water bottle and towel

 

What happens on game day?

 

  •  Arrive 30 minutes before the game
  • Make sure your finger nails and toe nails are trimmed-the referee might check them
  • Be dressed for the game
  • Bring a water bottle
  • Games are four-five minute quarters
  •  One parent from each team will be needed at the timekeepers table
  • For home games; help with set up and take down of equipment

    We get kids in the game by covering the costs of equipment, registration and/or transportation. We also lend support to unique initiatives aimed at increasing access to sport and recreation programs.
     

     How to Apply:

    Applications for assistance can be submitted from Jan. 15 – June 1 for spring/summer programs, and from July 1 – Nov. 15 for fall/winter programs.

    o        Call 1-877-616-6600.Based on your postal code, a Call Centre representative will provide a contact on the closest Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter.

    o        When calling your local Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter representative, be prepared to provide your contact information and the details of the sport or recreational activity your child would like to participate in. You may also be asked to provide financial information in order to prove eligibility for funding.

    o        Applicants will be notified by the local Canadian Tire Jumpstart Chapter representative if they are approved or if further information is required.

    o        All information received is kept confidential.
     

    The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program provides grants up to a maximum of $300 per qualifying child per session (i.e., spring/summer, fall/winter). Grants are provided directly to the non-profit or charitable organization coordinating the sport or recreational activity on behalf of the qualifying child. Since each child's financial needs are unique, Canadian Tire Jumpstart's contribution can be made for equipment, registration or transportation costs.

    All approvals are the sole discretion of the local Canadian Tire Jumpstart chapter and designated Canadian Tire Jumpstart personnel.
